Both Sides of Celebrating the Holidays

rumor of moon
in a certainty
of winter sky

not fond of
the gravity
of aging

the moon
less alone
birthday dinner

[This refers to a night a week or so ago when a planet was visible right next to the moon, like the moon had its {changed from "it's": ack! an apostrophe catastrophe!} own little moon.]

winter morning
sky
one lone pigeon
circles

my ex-boss's
birthday party
showing up late

waiting on the
subway platform in Park Slope
xylophone carols

trying to fill
a mother-sized hole
compulsive shopping

don't buy the light
be the light
happy holidays

the only store open
the liquor store
happy thanksgiving

Christmas day
even the liquor store
closed

These are delightful. I especially like the one about the gravity of aging and its double meaning. Well done yet again!
